Hill Day
Remind lawmakers that people across the country care deeply about protecting religious freedom for everyone
Using the power of our collective voice
SRF Hill Day is a unique opportunity for Summit participants to bring our collective voice directly to lawmakers on Capitol Hill. It connects the skills we build at SRF with real-time advocacy to safeguard church-state separation and inclusive religious freedom.
At SRF, we emphasize how church-state separation underpins democracy, public education, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ equality, and racial justice. Hill Day is where we put those conversations into action — to show that these issues matter in every community.

Who should attend?
Hill Day is open to all SRF in-person participants, regardless of experience. Whether you’re a first-time advocate or a seasoned organizer, you’ll leave empowered to engage policymakers, carry advocacy back to your community, and be part of a group experience designed to make an impact together.
AU staff will provide training, talking points, materials, and support every step of the way. No lobbying experience required.
This was my first Hill Day and I am inspired! Sharing my story with my representatives allowed me to show how essential church-state separation is to LGBTQ+ equality in real, everyday terms.

Let's make an impact together
Hill Day is more than a single day of activity on Capitol Hill. It’s a chance to come together, raise awareness of our issues, and remind lawmakers that people across the country care deeply about protecting religious freedom and church-state separation.
The experience is designed to spark confidence, build community, and remind participants that advocacy isn’t limited to visits — it’s also about showing presence, sharing materials, and carrying the momentum back home.
